'Vibe Coding' Produces a Real-Time Regression Visualizer, and an AI Writes a Soccer Preview

Two small, telling artifacts of the moment: a machine-learning teaching tool built casually with AI, and an AI assistant that ghostwrote a match preview from a chat log.

Sometimes the culture of a technology shows up in its side projects. @algekalipso shared a real-time regression visualizer — "linear, polynomial, support vector regression" — that lets a user watch overfitting happen live: "High polynomial + zero penalty -> overfit." The reflection attached to it is the interesting part: "I wish I had this when I was studying machine learning in college... vibe coding is awesome." The tool itself is pedagogically old; what's new is that building it took an afternoon of conversational coding rather than a project's worth of effort.
