Xiaomi has launched the MiMo-V2.6 open-source series, described as the strongest open-source native models on the Artificial Analysis index, according to @bpaynews. The release fits a now-familiar pattern of Chinese firms competing on open weights and price-performance rather than on closed frontier capability.
