One of the quieter but more consequential infrastructure stories this week is that agents are starting to get the ability to spend money. As surfaced by @marcopapa99 in a daily briefing, Cloudflare is pushing to give AI agents wallets, and the emerging consensus is that stablecoins are becoming the first practical payment rail for agent-to-service transactions — the micropayments an autonomous system needs to make when it calls a paid API, buys compute, or pays for data without waiting on a human to approve each charge.
