Claude Desktop Quietly Lands on Linux

Anthropic's desktop app finally arrived on Linux, closing a gap that had kept a vocal slice of developers off the native client.

Claude Desktop is now available on Linux, per @marcopapa99's July 1 briefing. It is the kind of release that generates no press cycle but meaningfully expands the addressable user base — Linux is disproportionately the operating system of the exact developers Anthropic most wants building agent workflows on Claude.
