Hermes Launch Spawns Instant Memecoins — The Speculative Shadow of Open Source

Within hours of the Hermes-Grok integration announcement, pump.fun tokens branded around Nous Research appeared, illustrating how every real AI launch now has a speculative doppelgänger.

The Nous Research Hermes agent announcement barely had time to circulate before speculative tokens appeared. As @MATTPRINTS_22 documented, a memecoin called NOUS launched on pump.fun, explicitly trading on the Hermes agent brand. The token has no formal connection to Nous Research.
