Claude Code Ships 'Routines' — Scheduled, Event-Triggered Agents for Dev Workflows

Anthropic's Claude Code now supports Routines: templated agents that can be triggered by GitHub events, APIs, or schedules, moving coding agents from interactive tools to autonomous background processes.

Claude Code Routines are now live, allowing developers to trigger templated AI agents via GitHub events, API calls, or scheduled timers, as documented by @noahzweben. The feature supports multi-session workflows, meaning an agent can start a task, pause, and resume across sessions.
