An Open Source Tool Promises to Strip AI Patterns from Your Writing

A new audit tool designed to detect and remove telltale AI writing patterns is gaining traction among writers trying to avoid automated detection.

A tool called Avoid, described by @tom_doerr and @widfiretoad, is being positioned as an audit system that identifies and removes the stylistic fingerprints AI models leave in generated text — repetitive sentence structures, characteristic vocabulary choices, and pacing patterns that detection systems flag.
