A startup has shipped an autonomous robot that scans farms for disease and measures crop yield — and it's already operating in the real world, not just in a demo video.
An autonomous farm robot called Emma is now deployed across 14 vineyards and orchards in California and New York, as its creator @jmoonio announced. Built over 12 months, Emma scans crops, detects diseases, and measures yield — tasks that currently require either expensive manual labor or aerial drones with limited resolution.
