Ethereum Builders Ship 'Sign In With Agent' — a Trustless Identity Standard for AI Agents

An Ethereum project introduced SIWA, a protocol that lets AI agents authenticate on-chain without human intermediaries, pushing crypto closer to its AI-agent integration thesis.

Ethereum's monthly builder roundup included the introduction of Sign In With Agent (SIWA), a trustless identity standard for AI agents built by @ethereum community project Builders Garden. The protocol allows AI agents to authenticate and transact on-chain without requiring a human to sign each action — a necessary primitive if autonomous agents are ever going to participate in DeFi, token-gated services, or on-chain governance.
