MIT Sloan Proposes a Business Model Framework for the Agentic AI Era

New research from MIT's Center for Information Systems suggests autonomous AI agents require a fundamental shift from process-oriented to outcome-oriented business models.

@MITSloan shared a new framework from MIT's Center for Information Systems Research that attempts to map how business models need to evolve for an era of autonomous AI agents. The core thesis: companies currently organized around processes — doing things — need to reorganize around outcomes — achieving things — because agents don't need human-legible workflows.
