Users are fleeing OpenAI's paid tiers after forced model upgrades broke workflows, and the company's support system is apparently buckling under the load.

OpenAI appears to be dealing with a significant customer retention problem. As @Zyeine_Art documented, the company is "struggling SO HARD to deal with the massive amount of cancellations" that its support system has reportedly defaulted to automated responses — including, somewhat ironically, an AI response offering to help users cancel. The trigger appears to be forced model upgrades and deprecations that broke existing workflows.
