A coding agent turned its analytical capabilities inward, examining its own search behavior across hundreds of thousands of queries to surface patterns in how AI agents approach software engineering problems.

In one of the more meta developments in the agent space, Factory AI's Droid coding agent analyzed its own corpus of 780,000 web queries to identify patterns in how it searches for information while writing code, as @FactoryAI reported. The exercise is a form of self-reflective analysis that's unusual for production AI systems — most agents execute tasks without examining their own behavior at scale.
