Claude Code with Opus 4.5 Is Rewriting What One Developer Can Build in a Weekend

A viral post detailing how Claude Code paired with Opus 4.5 enabled a complex webapp build in days has reignited debate about AI-assisted coding — and this time, the skeptics are converting.

A post by @ciphergoth describing how Claude Code with Anthropic's Opus 4.5 model enabled "unprecedented productivity" — building a complex web application in a matter of days — racked up 4,600 likes and nearly 780,000 views on New Year's Eve. It's the kind of post that could easily be dismissed as hype, except for the chorus of corroboration that followed.

@jugibuilds urged developers who tried AI-assisted coding earlier in 2025 and walked away unimpressed to give Opus 4.5 a second chance, suggesting the gap between earlier models and the current generation is large enough to change minds. @PedroRevezSilva put it more bluntly: Opus 4.5 has "normalized extraordinary coding ability." These aren't AI influencers farming engagement — they're practitioners reporting from the trenches.
